Hey Chuck, Well think about joining us at the next club meeting in a few weeks at Tra Amici, this meeting will be at 7.00pm the first Sunday of the month. There will be an update on the VCOC home page soon. We have a P-rider in the club as well...
Cheers Angelo

This is the first time using a posting board (probably called something different), so I may not be in the correct spot. Any help would be welcome.
I really appreciated the page in the "Indicator" about winterizing. It has been frustrating hasn't it to have such "scooterable" weather in Edmonton, but the black ice, laneways, and gravel still keep us off the roads.
Anyway, I am a real neophyte so saying "remove the battery" is already too advanced for me. Does this mean unscrew the red wire and the black wire , lift out the battery and just leave the wires dangling inside the battery compartment? (Vespa ET4 150, 2005). "Take it inside" I can figure out, but do I need to put the screws back into the battery?
Secondly, I read the material on using a trickle charger. Thanks. When I do use the trickle charger, do I clamp the red clamp to the positive side or the negative side? Do I have to ground the black clamp? to the workbench's metal leg? I have a Sears charger with several settings for various different types of batteries. I'll read my Scooter manual for info on the amps and volts of the battery, but just in case its the wrong kind is there a place in Edmonton where they sell chargers specific for motorcycles/Vespas?
Thirdly is "engine stabilizer" the same stuff I put into my lawn mower (for 2 and 4 stroke engines) when I start it in the spring? Where else can I get appropriate engine stabilizer in Edmonton?
Fourthly, there is a page in the "Indicator" which is a membership form. Is this something that comes at this time of year annually? And are there fees for the Edmonton Chapter of the Club? Have only been to one meeting and forgot to ask. Wished i could have attended the engine workshop, but just wasn't able. Can't wait til spring!!!
