Wow, I guess it is coming up quick. I thought it was in October, but I guess it is on Sept 24th. I will be in the UK that day so count me out. Hope lots of you can make it, though.
Let me know who is going, I would still like to donate a toy, so maybe someone can scoot it on my behalf?
Cheers,
Jeff

Hi Jeff
Sorry about jumping the gun on you but I didn't get Angelos email until after I had started this thread.
I am going to attend the toy run. I picked up a lego set last night that you can build 8 different motorbikes out of (Scooter was one of them of course) so I would be happy to drop off a gift on your behalf. Just have to figure out a way to get it to me. No pink dollies though. Thats Angelos gig :-)

....ok ok....so the laundry is going to be aired out in public? There is nothing wrong with pink dollies! I'm in! Last year was fun.
Ciao Angelo

OK, so Angelo, I will pick up a toy to donate this week, I can drop it by your place. If it is a pink dollie, you can carry it through the sea of iron and leather (You owe me, remember). If it is a cool Lego set, then give it to the Coyote to drop off on my behalf.
Cheers

Here is the offical site as reference... www.edmontontoyrun.info/The plan is to meet at Tra Amici at 10.00 and leave together. We won't be staying long, so if you want to enjoy a Coffee show up earlier. The ride from capilano leaves at 11.15 so there won't be much time in between.....bundle up!! Cheers Angelo

It was great seeing such a great turn out for the ride today. The weather was fantastic! Final some decent Fall weather! It was so much fun seeing all the old bikers talking about there first rides (Vespa's/ Lambretta's) and the stories that went along with them. I'm not sure what the final count was, but I'm certain that it equaled last years 3400.
Cheers Angelo

It was a great ride... Reactions from the hardcore bikers as we rolled in were priceless. My favorite part so far.
Unofficial stats for 2006 were approx 3600 bikes at Capilano Mall, 8000 square feet of toys and $8000 (a new record) in donations.
John, Angelo, Bruce, Tia, Trevor, Haley, Frank, Kelly, Ruth, Dick, Tim and Me. That makes an unofficial presence percentage of 0.33%
Yeah, way to go folks. We were out numbered, but as Bruce put it, our balls (and other bits) were bigger.

Hi all We ended up in the on scene report from Edmonton Motorcycle scene. Pics and write up at edmonton-motorcycle.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!283F0B9655903E7A!432.entry To expand on Kevins observations. The thing I noticed is when bikes were rolling in, ppl just kept on doing what they were doing. Just another black v-twin thumping by. But when we showed up en mass (or as much on mass as you can get on 250lb, quietly ring dinging two strokes and muted 4s) , converations actually stopped mid sentence. Sort of stunned disbelief. Of course it didn't hurt that John was loudly proclaiming from the seat of his smally "Its ok, we aren't here to cause any trouble. Just keep about your business and we will keep to ourselves" What a howl. The ride was a kick as well. 3600 bikes is a lot of damn bikes.

"Its ok, we aren't here to cause any trouble. Just keep about your business and we will keep to ourselves"
In my book, that will go down as one of the best times quotes of all time.......I still grin from ear to ear when I think about it.
