There was a plan to do one more massive ride before the end of the season, I can't remember if it was this weekend or next. According to local interweb sites, the weather this weekend will be favorable.
Here's the sorta plan: > 97 to Summerland > Giants Head, backroads etc. > 97 for a short stretch > Pent 1st Nation to Green Mountain Road > 3A to Kaleden and 97 to OK Falls > East side of Skaha to Penticton > 97 home
This could take the better part of a day and it's a heck of a ride. If we're lucky one of you will be so impressed that he/she will make up a blazing acronym for this ride and then beat us all over the heads with it until we're suitably impressed.

Yeah, that's what I meant. RATL is sort of like G 'n R or CCR. Instantly recognizable.

Could there possibly be a trailer to summerland? I don't think I could make it riding the whole way with the NSU in the shape it is right now.
If there was a trailer to summerland(ron) then I would be most inclined(ron) to go on this momentous ride(ron) one of many memories and experiences(ron). Hmm... who might have a trailer and want ot go on the ride(you know anyone RON)
And Bruce sorry to hear you are so busy, it would be nice to see you disappearing over the horizon again.

And I think you should rename the RATL to RAHWATL "ride about half way around the lake" it is more accurate.

I heard something about that. Gives me a bit more time to get a trailer hauler set up(not that I will 100% need it.) and also fix my van(which may have a bit of british in it too)
I should also cut my grass....hmmm...where to get a lawn mower??

This ride is on again. Plan is for leaving early, like 9-ish, Sunday morning October 1st, 2006.
Hopefully the Twist-And-Crawl-And-Piss-And-Moan crew are still checking this forum to see if anyone is talking about them. Assuming you are and y'all are finished licking your wounds or whatever it is that you need to lick ... come on along it'll be a hell of a ride.

Agreed. I hope everybody can leave the issues where they are (burried in some threads here)...and go and have a nice ride.

What a ride. 225 km of twisty, ups and downs, views, deserts, mountains, lakes, lakes and lakes and twists.
Notice to reader: If you and yr two wheels are not planning Okanagan vacations y'all are sleeping. Geographically blessed I tell ya. The people suck, but riding's good.
