Vespa Vancouver has been sold. New owner takes over in three weeks. The new owner is from Ontario and is planning on opening a few shops here. ...
Cool...

Hey...where abouts in the Meadows are you?
It sounds like there will be a couple rides out our way this year.

Truly, I hate to say "I told ya so..". However, it was clear to me a year ago, when driving away on my new GT that "these palookas are not going to make it." I remember saying "This [Vancouver's] scooter community is too small to let schysters like this succeed..."
I believe the new owners are Vespiti and that will make a huge difference, both in their success and in the role they play in supporting VCoC, I should think. Time alone will tell I guess.

There is a lot of chat about it, but in the end, I hope we all have a good relationship and can support each other. I look forward to seeing a new and improved Vespa store. ;D

I actually had a pretty good repoire with the guys at V.V. Hopefully the new owners will have a little more to do with the club than the last group but I dont wish them any ill will. "All" the new shops are a great thing for Vancouver...

From a Club perspective we welcome any new scooter store. Even more so when they are close to the scooter community and are interested in working with us.

Hello everyone. Well you are correct about the store being sold. We are the new owners from Ontario, and also have a Vespa store there in London, Ontario. All the new Vespas just arrived this week. Yes, we have the GTS in red and black in stock right now. In fact, our showroom is full of Piaggio scooters from the LX50 right up to the BV500 I am the new General Manager of Vespa Vancouver and welcome everyone to drop in, say hello and introduce yourself.

Hi Bob, welcome. Did you already have your grand opening, or do you guys want to keep the change of ownership something known just to the scene Insiders? Regardless, I definitely swing by and would love to have a chat with you. I heard about the change of ownership a while ago and meant to email Ron for a while. I hope we can build a good relationship! PS: We are always looking for event sponsors and offer a lot of Vespa (and Lambretta noise) and 2-stroke smell in return.

Well, our store hours are:
Monday to Friday 10am-6pm Saturdays 10am-5pm Sundays Noon-4pm
We haven't had a grand opening yet. Still getting everything up to speed. We finally got a showroom of scooters(the best part) delivered. We are still waiting for all our parts accounts to be set up out here in Vancouver, so our accessories are a little low right now. We do have the expresso machine up and running, but don't ask me how to operate it, I'm still perplexed. I'm from Ontario where there is a Tim Hortons on every corner. I look forward to meeting you all, and I'm sure we can build a great relationship.

Bob London? Ontario? Vespa London? I'm gonna be getting a Vespa there hopefully in June. But I'm kinda having a bit of trouble because I don't think I can get a car loan. It sucks having no credit at all. Maybe you can pull some strings for me. Give me a discount for a fellow Londener. Actually I believe I talked to you and Jay last September. Sadly, I had no money then. But now I got lots.
