It's a 250. The '60' refers to 60 years of Vespa. It's basically just a tarted up GTS250.

you could almost get a SS90 for that price. Why did they go back to the fenderlight?

a) cause it's awesome b) after 60 years of heritage, WHY NOT. c) it's about time; perhaps this will be a signal that more "classic" styling ques will begin to be used by vespa (but i doubt it...meh.)

Don't get me wrong, i dig the fender light...i just thought they and every other scooter maker in the world moved it to the handlebars for a reason...like maybe it's safer and you can see better.

That fender light is awesome and I have not heard anyone complain about the lighting.....Angelo, what do you have to say? You have a fender light on your Modificato...

I love the fenderlight. Factor in the cool factor. If the funds were available I would have my money on one already. One of 50 in Canada, one of 999 world wide! Oh ya.....I'm drooling, and the split seat! OMG......beautiful..........Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......I need one!

The GT 60 is now in town - fresh out of it's crate at Vespa Vancouver. It really is something - the paint shade of grey, polished wheels ! I saw the GTV at the Seattle Moto show last weekend and am more taken with the GT 60, but alas - by the time I convince my GTS it's latest accessory should be a "trade in" sign I bet the GT 60 will be parked in some guy/gal's garage !! Oh well, maybe - someday - there might be a split seat a la GT 60 for my GTS. Now back to sleep for the winter, shhhh...zzzzz

ahem...Bob (Vespa Vancouver) might still have a GT60, but there is another one in town...actually in Surrey.
Arrived yesterday. Delivered by our friend Ron (Vespa Kelowna). Delia and I are really happy with it. Looks a bit different from the pictures. The GT60 seat is black and the little windshield is clear. Yes, the colour is actually a nice grey and not the olive green that some of us expected. We wanted a scooter that can carry the both of us to rallies next year...plus we liked the fact that it is a limited addition (only 50 in Canada).
Got insurance today and couldn't wait to ride it. The 250 cc give the scooter quite some power. Was fun riding it on the highway.
I think Vespa Vancouver will only have the one GT60...so in case you are interested, don't wait too long. The 2 GT60s Vespa Kelowna ordered are already gone.
...but keep in mind there is a GTV that might hit the Canadian market later this year...however from what I heard it is not sure just yet if/how many will come to Canada.

I do think it's unfair that you make her ride on the back when one is still available. It is Christmas Roy, and I won't say a word.
Yes, come in and check it out. Are there more? I don't know if the distributor has gone through the 50 already.
Cheers,
Bob

Hey Bob.....
WHO said anything about ME being on the bacK?? Hahahaha...this baby is MINE! Roy already has 2 scooters with another on the way, which leaves me with only 2 after I sell the Daisy 50cc hehehehe.
Diana...
I heard the seat for the GT60 will also fit the GTS...but I also heard it will cost about $1200 - yikes. The color of the 60 is very interesting. It changes in different light and you can see an olive type green undertone in it at times. Too many people have confirmed it, so I am not just crazy...ok not totally crazy hahaha. Roy was riding the 60 looking like a kid in a candy store yesterday hahaha....I was going to accompany him, but I just cant stand riding in the rain hmmmmppffff. Damn rain.
If it stops raining today, I am going for a spin.

Delia and Roy - oh mi gosh, wow - congratulations on your new arrival!! I am overjoyed and must compliment you on your impeccable taste and style. A rare and most beautiful beast. And I must say Ms Daisy, how gracious of you to allow Roy to break it in for you On the freeway, where I'm sure he rode a gentle 1/2 throttle *not*! I can't wait to see it on the road - please announce when you might be coming into town. My camera and I must be there! When I sat on the one at Vespa Van - muttering "vroom" under my breath, I especially liked the seat comfort. Obviously made with my behind in mind (but not wallet!). Don't forget the little rain cover tucked under the seat to protect the leather. Ahhh leather..... enjoy!! ;D Diana

Hey Diana
I would have it downtown today if the weather wasnt crap....damn rain and wind blew our power out yesterday to boot.
Yeah....Roy got home from riding back on the highway bragging about how it goes really fast without knowing hahaha. You were right about that *NOT* on the gentle half throddle hahahaha. He might be restricted to the backseat for a while hahaha.
The color is really interesting and while it isnt the same as what we expected from seeing the advertising, it has been described as "silly putty". "dark primer" and gray hahaha. It does have some sort of green undertone in there because when I was behind Roy (in my car), I would have said it was green and not gray from the lighting conditions.
The seat is pretty cool and when we both got onto it, there was lots of room - yipee. The whole idea was having a bike we could ride together when we wanted/needed. The seat cover already got some good use in the pouring rain when Roy could not wait one more second to ride her ;D
We will definately send you a PM when we are in town.
Thanks so much!
Now I have to go sneak a little daisy on it somewhere muahahaha.

Just an update on the GT60. The distributor has now sold out their allotment of 50 scooters. We have one, and won't be getting anymore. There has been a lot of interest so far, but no one as of today has put down a deposit on the only GT60 that we will be getting.
Cheers,
Bob
