When and where should we meet to talk about the Toronto chapter? I was thinking close to the end of January, so people have a chance to recover from the holiday's. Are you willing to travel outside Toronto, say (Etobicoke).

I have to say that outside of Toronto wouldn't be easy. I'm pretty much a public transit user, but I guess I could drive my van if required.
I'm just new here - not much of a "club joiner", but what the heck.

I guess I'll stir the pot again about the Toronto chapter. Is every one OK to meet in mid Feb, Maybe at a Tim's.

If you can make it a Tim's reasonably accessible by TTC - I'm in.
If we have both drivers and public transit users from both downtown and suburbs, Yorkdale Mall is pretty accessible. It has lots of restaraunts as well.

Obviously, it's REALLY hard to get things going in the winter.
How do we drum up more interest? Should we wait until closer to spring?

What these non-GTA folks don't realize is that Mississauga and "The Beaches" aren't exactly within "drop by for a coffee" distance. The big ugly city is right in the way.
However, it's not a bad idea and I could post it up on Modern Vespa and Beginnerbikers.org. I know there are Toronto area scooterists on both.
We could try to organize a small "pre-planning" get together to gauge interest.
I'll PM you, bugerdup.

I am with Dennis (aka Cartman),
I know it is easy to say this from the distance, but just get together and meet each other (the people who showedd interest). Exchange ideas and go from there.
I know some of our branches started with 3or 4 people at the first meeting.
I like the idea of posting your meeting on local forums as well. Sometimes people may not respond but still show up when they know something is happening. When you have a date for the meeting let me know and I post it on our homepage as well.
Good luck!

Thanks guys, It is easy to talk about what to do, but when it comes down to doing it, it doesn't seem so easy. I'll try and put my money where my mouth is. It's all good.

Yeah, I have had a slow start this month, I hate the cold weather to walk in, mind you it is +9 today. I am going to join, this week for sure (two months ago). You will receive my info before Feb 1st, mark my word. It's all good. Speaking of putting your money where your mouth is. Got that cheque in the mail? ;D
