Welcome to Year of the Pig! This Sunday is the Chinatown New Year's Parade so I'm thinking that we should meet up at noon, watch the Parade and either eat at street vendors or make a reservation somewere (I'll call Floata and see if we can get a reservation www.floata.com/our_menu_dimsum_thumb.htm ). If Chinatown is too busy to eat at it was suggested to try The Pink Pearl on Hastings, but let me know if you have a suggestion. There are loads of events happening in Chinatown so it will be a fun day for the whole family. There was also this tip. If "The Year of The Pig" is your year (1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007), don't forget to wear something red to ensure nothing but good luck throughout the year. Pls. PM me if you are coming so that I get an idea of how big a table to get.

Since as always no one will confim they are coming the plan is to meet at the corner of Gore & Keefer at noon for the parade. We will either eat at street vendors or make our way to a dim sum place after.
