OK folks ...
Here's the deal!
Baseball @ Nat Bailey Stadium on Friday, August 3rd.
In partnership with Vespa Vancouver, Premium Festival seating (the bunch of us together) for the cost of General Admission ($8).
There will be a surprise "freebie" for everyone, as well as a couple of great prizes for a few lucky winners. In light of the significant contribution being made by Vespa Vancouver toward this endeavor, the $8 tickets will be made available to Piaggio branded scooterists (Vespa, Piaggio, Aprila & Derbi), plus one other guest. Additional group seating tickets will be made available (along with the surprise freebie & prize entry) for $10, but surely we can all find a Piaggio branded scooterist to include us as their guest.
GVRR & WSCE members ... we need your help to ensure that Kymco, Hyosung, Yamaha, Honda, etc. scooterists get a deal!
Advance payment must be made by Saturday, July 28th to ensure availability.
See Peter @ Vancouver Vespa on Friday(s) or Diana @ Vancouver Vespa on Saturdays to reserve your spot.
If you have questions or want to give me your money, contact me.
Keep looking up & pressing forward!
Regards,
Robert, the Reverend Whalley (Central City - Surrey)

In a few short hours, it will be a week to go until the baseball game @ Nat Bailey.
I've heard from about 12 people on "three" different websites (GVVR, Vespa Club of Vancouver, VancouverScooter).
Any lurkers planning to go who haven't voiced their interest.
I need to order tickets, and need to know how many want tickets.
$8 cost (regular $11) and some great company.
Keep looking up & pressing forward!
Regards,
Robert, the Reverend Whalley (Central City - Surrey)

robert:
as you know, I always strive to attend your well-organized events, but Friday's are time challenged. couldn't get there until after 8pm. not sure how long the game lasts, or when the intermission is, but if we can make it, then we will just pay the regular price and see you a little late. guess that means we don't have a chance at the 'secret' prize(s). (oops, you didn't hear that) bob

I think the other problem is that that is the WSCE meeting night. Seeing as we are close to the rally I am sure it's not a good time to start skipping meetings so if people do want to go to the ball game we should reschedule the meeting.

move the meeting to thursday, followed by a ride. I think I am catching a plane friday night - isn't Calgary that weekend too - so maybe Wednesday? ?

Moving the meeting would be good for me too. I am either leaving for Calgary Thursday nite or Friday morning, so I was planning to have to miss it.

But ...
If anyone is still interested:
Sales department for the Vancouver Canadians tells me I'm still good for delaying my final tally.
Don't be disappointed and have to sit alone.
Let me know you're coming and I'll make sure you have a ticket for the game that night.
$8

If the monthly Friday night meeting for WSCE isn't in conflict then this is:
Last call ...
(if the monthly meeting is on Friday night this week, then pretend I didn't write this - LOL)
I need to contact Vancouver Canadian sales office tomorrow (Wednesday) with final count. There's about 20-25 of us committed to attending.
Thanks for the support.
Weather forecast is for showers (30% POP) that day. Hopefully the showers are over for the day by the time the ballgame begins.
Keep looking up & pressing forward!
