I can only assume you are talking about $750 super that was posted on Craigslist yesterday. I've talked to the guy and the bike sounds like it's a SE Asian turd. He claims he "knows" it's not from Vietnam because it has "Italian stamps" on it....what ever that means. I asked about the body and he said that other than a 2 inch rust hole (!!!) in the "tunnel" part it's great. Sounds like the frame is junk. I also asked him how long he's had the bike. He said 3 months, which is about when there was a guy in east van selling two totally messed up Asian bikes for 1000 bucks or something. Sounds like he's trying to recoup some cash on a crap purchase.
If this your first bike, I wouldn't recommend buying it. Hell, if it's your 15th bike I wouldn't recommend buying it...it sounds like a pile.
Good luck, and if you go out to look at it take some pictures and post'em.
Tim
PS supers never came with trapezoidal head sets here in north america, 99% sure they didn't for the rest of the world either. That tells you right off the bat that something is up...

That bike will cost you thousands of dollars to make right. If the frame looks like that, the engine must be deplorable. That bike MIGHT be worth $150 in parts.

Got it for $600 ok ok I paid too much. I'm a half ass welder so I'll strip it this winter and start patching hopefully not all winter . The motor runs not too bad , no gas tank , but with a shot of gas it fires right up , no unusual noises . .. yet . Its missing a few pieces like air filter & cover , handle bar switch cover , manual choke , gas tank . If I can find something to hold fuel , I'll run it up the alley to check the gearbox . ok guys don't flame me too much ;D Also Good Luck & Best Wishes to Rocket and Roy in the Cannonball , thats a Helluva gruelling adventure !

Will do DD , well I've learned something already . The engine sits off center unlike my other scooter which is centered . I've dropped it twice when taking it off the stand ;D and I haven't even ridden it yet .

Ha Ha - same thing happened to me with the motorbike - taking it off the stand for the first-time - I guess I wasn't used to the sheer weight of the thing - it fell on me (I'm glad I cushioned it's fall!)

wow!
I think you're going to need one of three things before you put that bike back on the road:
1. a ticketed welder that you really trust 2. a complete spare frame to use 3. a death wish
The centre section of that frame looks really rough and needs to be addressed properly. You should (maybe you already have) think about stripping the whole frame to make sure other critical parts aren't in the same shape.
Good luck,
Tim

Dude, If your ever going to ride in front of me, throw that frame in the garbage. It has been cut in half...at least TWICE. The only thing that will hold it together on the road is if you add external bracing...ie: if you build a new frame under the old frame.
Ask arround, somebody out there has an extra frame.
If somebody gave me that bike (free), I would strip all the paint, clearcoat it, weld in a brace bar between the seat and the headset, get some yellow stand boots and ride it to every rally with pride.
good luck sean

Well guys you've certainly given me alot to consider . Yes structural integrity is always #1 . Once I get the frame stripped my friends at the welding shop will be put to work . It's obvious I've made a mistake in purchase. I'll try and make the best of what I have for now . I thank you guys for your honesty and hope to have something worthwhile to show for in the future. Yeah you can nip the pics .
