Yes and No. Niagara Rally takes place the same weekend as our Victoria Rally I belive? Dennis would definately know more about it. I have always wanted to go, but would need to trailer the scooters out there............and need about 3 days driving each way, but can't find anybody else interested in going..........

Went in 97. Camping rally. LOTS of drinking. Only one ride... to the falls. The ride to get there is the ride. However most truck or trailer their scooters there. A lot of the scooters don't even get unloaded.
Victoria is better IMHO.

There's pictures from last year scoot.net/gallery/2006/05/niagara/Not sure what club would be putting this on. Driving to Toronto/Niagara...The way I judge it is this; A day across BC, a day across the Prairies and two days through Ontario. Taking the I-80 Stateside shaves almost a whole day of going around through Ontario.

Yes - I have done the drive many times.......when I was young and had tons of time on my hands. I know a couple of people that have gone and are going - it would be cool to just show up - I have some thinking to do....

Its a cool Rally, I went a couple of time around 90-91. As Dennis said its a camping Rally...sort of. More like you dont have a hotel to pass out in, so its kind of wherever you land, you sleep. If you make it to a tent, then youre doing good. There is alot of folks that come up from NYC, DC, Boston, Detroit etc. not to mention Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. If I was in the area and could make the rally I would definitely go, but I dont think I would travel across the country to go to Niagara, but thats just me.

I'll post some, since I've been a few times recently, including last year.
Basically as mentioned, it's a camping rally and held at the Welland Motorcycle club in Welland Ontario, just outside of Niagara falls. It's generally well attended, although the numbers have been going down in recent years. It's notorious for getting absolutely shite weather as well.
The motorcycle club is a decent venue with a good size clubhouse, makes it nice for drinking and dancing well into the night. The club is a private venue as well, and they are happy to sell booze well into the night, in case you run out of your own.
It is hosted by the Tundra Schmucks, and attended by most of the area clubs, Gob Shites from Kitchener, Rovers from WIndsor/Detroit, Pride of Cleveland from ummm, Cleveland, as well as a few guys from Boston and a slew of other areas.
Entry is typically 25 bucks which includes camping, breakfast and supper on Saturday, as well as a rally pack with your patch, t shirt, etc. Saturday is a pretty busy day with the ride out to the falls, and then awards and such in the evening. The highlight of all of this is the annual "put em on the glass" in which all interested ladies place their jumblies against a window pane. The more drunken fellas inevitably get involved in this as well, and I've seen more ballsacks than I consider healthy in recent times.
I'm sure anyone who makes it will have a goodtime, but I don't know if I would recommend as such a must attend rally that you make the trip cross country for it. I think you could find something more exciting to be honest.
Oh, and it is held every year on the May long weekend. Known affectoinately as the two four rally.
Cheers

noted. But I would win the "put em on the glass contest..." lol! I'm not sure we've met yet Caprice, I'm new to Vancouver, and I won't awkward up our introduction by commenting here. It is a hotly contested competition however, and usually takes place around 1 am, for reasons which should be obvious to anyone who's ever embarked on a night of serious drinking. I saw the photo's from last years rally named George, and while I am a huge supporter of the camping rally, and encourage Vancouver to plan one, I think you guys are doing just fine out here.
