Hey everyone, I got banned from the forum. Don't know why. Maybe someone can explain why. I know where I'm not wnated so I will leave on my own now. If you want me to display the games that you play in public...I have no problem doing that. I found it very interesting that messages in the same thread were sent from the same IP address and the profiles using the same email address. I am sick and tired of people playing this game and insulting the Club making it seem that there are more people supporting them. If you state that you don't want to have anything to do with the club and 'screw' the club, what the heck do you care about me banning the profile sending the message. If by banning one handle all the other handles the same person used getting banned as well, I consider this a bonus. Stop hiding behind multiple handles and pretend being the victim here. If you intend to leave anyways....just go! I have no problem publicly apologizing to you if you are interested in being a member on this forum and not just a shit disturber, and if there are indeed several people sharing the same IP address, using the same email address for their profile, and basically voicing the same opinions on the same threads....How likely would that be? PS: I told one of your personas in a PM I would pay them back their membership dues out of my own pocket if he/she just told me what his/her membership number is (after that person threatend not to renew his/her membership)....never received a response...how strange.

Hey everyone! Before our great province is subjected to the sounds of weeping and teeth gnashing certain members of the VCOC need to understand the following. These things we call scooters are two wheels bolted to a frame with small engine thrown in. The older two strokes pollute the enviroment, the new ones save on gas. Some are pretty and some are not. Scooters were invented as a cheap alternative transportation for the victims of war ravaged countries not as a cultural fashion. If a club member wishs to question the validity of what the VCOC is they should have the right to do so without fear of censure regardless of whether or not those posts are from the same source! Oh and please everyone just be happy!

Scooters were invented as a cheap alternative transportation for the victims of war ravaged countries not as a cultural fashion. I disagree...the scooter has ALWAYS been part of a cultural design heritage brought to us by italians who, on purpose, make things look pretty even if they are useful. In fact, the definitive history of the vespa is titled Vespa: Style in Motion and empasizes with every paragraph that Corradino D'Ascanio's design was both practical AND beautiful. He is quoted as saying: "The creation of a modern means of transport, with the popularity of a bicycle, the performance of a motorcycle, the elegance and comfort of an automobile, is now a reality." --Corradino D'Ascanio (Chief designer for Piaggio and creator of the Vespa) Let's not kid oursleves people, it's always been about style and culture.

Also: If a club member wishs to question the validity of what the VCOC is they should have the right to do so without fear of censure regardless of whether or not those posts are from the same source! I agree VCOC members (emphasis on members) should have a right to voice their opinions, regardless of what they are. I also agree with Roy that if they want to voice contrary or disruptive opinions they should have the balls to stand behind them as a real, known member. If said person is no longer a member, and only wishes to criticize current members and admin, they should do so on another form NOT paid for by the VCOC. Any other opinions out there? -mike

He did PM Roy and even that was not good enough for him.
Some people are just like that I guess....

Alright, what's happening here is very disappointing. If someone got on this forum and started posting rascist, violent, sexually demeaning, or otherwise offensive comments I would be the first person to ban them and their posts. I don't care how many personas someone chooses to use. That's their business. But to ban someone because they question the value of membership in the VCOC is absolutely assinine. We went through this before when someone else raised that question. There was an overreaction on that occassion too. This whole tempest in a teacup has got me wondering whether or not I will return to this forum. I personally find these exchanges amusing but maybe that's because I have a sense of humour.
Bullshit like this just confirms to the pot stirrers that it's better off to go it alone.

Excuse Me! I only post under this alias. This is definitely getting ridiculous. Farewell! I don't think Delia was talking about you...she meant the other person that re-appeared today with a new profile. Anyways....this has not been about questioning the VCoC. Everybody has the right to do so. When did I ever say that they should or couldn't do that, EVER? This is about a person hiding behind different aliases and making it appear that there are more members out there voicing their opinion...this is trying to mislead others. It is one thing to question the validity of the Club. I have never had the problem to discuss this. Look at the thread though, was there ever a constructive question about the Club or did anybody make a suggestion of what they would like to see or how they want to see things change? When people post 'scew' the Club and do this in different ways and under different aliases...and if they keep on re-appearing after saying that they don't want anything to do with the Club, why should there be a problem banning their profile? Were is there something constructive and what are they questioning? I don't see a question. You know if a person would tell me whether there could be a better way to collect membership dues and make sure that whatever percentage goes to a local branch, I would like that conversation...which I believe is one we need to have. Nothing wrong with constructive criticism, bullshit on the other hand we don't need to take again and again. The forums are first of all for members and people interested in the Club. This person was obviously none of that. I have not one of the people who decided to leave the Club (which they were not even a member of) approach me and telling me they have a problem with this or that...so I say, let them go, have fun on your scooters, form you own Club (or not)....the door is open to those who want to be part of the VCoC. If you just want to rant about the Club on a VCoC paid forum, I don't think we need to take that. For those of you questioning my actions, I can only say that I don't like censorship myself. I understand why some of you won't agree. And I accept that. I would also appreciate if more people would understand that running a Club takes time, money, and volunteers. If you want to change something step up offer your help and ideas. It is not done by sitting back and posting opinions that are based on very limited if none interaction with the people that work hard keeping the VCoC alive. That doesn't mean that I that I belive the VCoC is perfect. Not at all. There is a lot we couldn't address this year because of lack of either time, money, or volunteers. So if you want to become the administrator or moderator of this forum, let me know. If you want to look after membership and finances, hey we could use your help next year (no point in changing this for his year at this point). There are tons of opportunities for people to get involved and make a differenvce....If you don't know how, just ask. From time to time there is drama on the forum and from time to time people will leave the Club for whatever reason. That's unfortunately just the way it is. Roy.

As a Calgary member I'm not privy to all that goes on in other scoot cities . However as an active member of the scooter scene, I know firstly how bad it looks to see public pissing matches and secondly how hard it is to deal with problem posters. So often it looks like a personal issue between the posters and the administration. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Roy and Delia for all they have done for VCOC in the past year. The nationwide encourage they have given, can only be understood by the people who needed it. If you disagree, please feel free to pop round and chat in person. 803 11ave s.e Calgary . Sunday afternoon is good for me
