Some questions regarding this rally for folks who may be attending.
Is anyone trailering bikes, and is there a chance my bike could get on with someone.
I am planning a trip back to Ontario, which will likely run June 28th, to July 12th or 13th. The kicker is to save money, I will likely be flying Seattle to Detroit, as Opposed to say Vancouver to Toronto. So since I'll be flying back into Seattle anyhow, I want to explore the possibilty of just having my bike there for me, and meeting up with rally people.
I realize it may be a lot to ask, but I am more than happy to leave you some funds to cover the cost of fuel, and anything else that might be appropriate.
Let me know if anyone has any thoughts or ideas.

Hi Court. Check with the Calgary people - I know they are planning on attending and unshure if they are routing through Vancouver. the always have a large kick-ass trailer and it may just have space for your scooter. Noel Ainsley is the contact there - you can go to their site: www.apocalypsesc.com and ask.

I don't know what the route is, but if we go through Vancouver I know of a couple of people who are interested in the ride from Van to Seattle. This will leave a couple trailer spots free for that section...traditionally, at the end of the weekend our only thought is to high-tail it home, so we'd all be leaving from Seattle on the flatbed. What is your plan for going home?

Speaking of saving a few bucks - VCOC members, as members of the Vespa World Club (we're listed, i checked), should be receiving a $10 discount on registration (remember - that's $50 Can). Question is - won't they want to see some sort of proof when we pick up our rally packs? I just found my initial membership card which (luckily) has no expiry date on it, so i guess i'm covered (?).

Hahahaha....you might be able to borrow my card if you put a dress on. EVERYONE that signed up while I was up got their cards. Actually I am still carrying a card for Melissa who had her first stolen. That has been in my wallet for at least 9 months! I sent the supply of cards to Kory, so you might have to suck up to him If it helps, your member number was 821

I wouldn't put it past anyone from Calgary to put a dress on, but we've got something even better being arranged for this year's Vancouver rally.
What I meant was that I figure I'd bring you along because, in my experience, you're hard to say no to. Haha.

I guess this year it means you are moving to the GVRD because otherwise, I cant sell you a GVVR Membership and you wouldnt dream of saying no to me right?

You should therefore contact Heather Knight, and set up a Friday ride down. We'll ride back together 'K. You are now the FRIDAY RIDE ORGANIZER.

Jeff & I will be driving the car down with a bike in the hatch on Friday. For those riding down if you want to drop off gear at our house it can be picked up from the 8th Ave Inn, Seattle, early Friday afternoon.

ok - Friday ride down for me as well. Rocket. Can you PM me - or contact me. We can leave from a Breakfast spot or Empire if you prefer. I think the Calgary dynamic duo want to ride down as well.
Cheers.

Ummmm just to be clear, "gear" means luggage, not "gear" as in your heroin taped to my stomic.
We do retain the right to inspect said luggage if we just don't trust you : )

firstly if i can swing thursday off [which is possable] i will hit the road on thursday and ride down the longway with the other clubs/riders. if i have to leave on the friday im not making a "oh lets stop and look at the scenery, oh how wonderfull henry" of it. as the riding time on the way down amerivespa will be all ready going on. im not going to ride like a twat with my kid on the back and will be sticking to a nice crusing speed, but will be making haste. am i going on the freeway, good question, if we leave at 6 or 7 in the morning well then probably not as it will only take 5 hours instead of 3, but if folks wanna leave at 10 or later ncd[no can do] to that baby...
