Can I call you Henry then?
I can leave as early as you like rocket - I know that you mean business - not to worry.

Hm. We usually don't make it into town until at least 8 or 9 am. Mike and I may have to reevaluate our plans, as this may not work.

Arrive at 8 / 9 a.m. on the 12th and join the ride down. It'll be an all "Oh look at that Henry ain't that luverly " (if somewhat twatish) ride through the countryside to Seattle. Of course, the superslab is open 24 hours, if you are so inclined.

well right now well wait till it gets a little nearer then as some are still trying to get the trhursday off [my self included] + the albertans are not sure what time they will arrive and i can understand that. so we'll wait till it gets a little nearer, but just to re iterate, if friday is the day,and non freeway is the way we wanna be on the road at 7 am at the latest, that puts us in seattle at 12 lunch time at the earliest and thats fine by me, but you dont wanna be rolling into seattle with most of the friday gone, so bare that in mind as it draws closer... I talked to Noel this evening, and it looks like we're leaving after work Wednesday night. There are only 5 of us, this time around. We have all been on several rallies together. This means: a quick and easy trailer to load, because everyone knows their job. Everyone can get there immediately after work. We don't have to wait for a second truck, as usual, to a. fuel up, b. break down, c. run out of diesel, c. figure out where to find diesel in Trail at 5am, d. get lost, or e. all of the above. We should make good time, after all, and apparently rather than just Mike and I, it seems all 5 of us have the desire to ditch the truck/trailer in Vancouver and ride down. As such, I suspect an eta of 7 or 8 am.

Boy Mike and I are staying at the 8th ave w/ Curt and Jax. Noel and Allie are staying with Cannonballer/Rally-4-Autism Mark Houghton. Mike Jesso is TBD, but I believe it'll be the 8th Ave, as well.

Daaren Boreham and Erin van Wijk, representing the competent rider side of Calgary, also lodging TBD. I would assume staying with someone related to Big People, since D worked there for so long.

Hey y'all - I've got floorspace, backyard space if you fancy camping, and I also have a very small travel trailer parked in the driveway (though i'm trying to get that moved to the backyard) - space in there is tight but gets you off the floor. i'd say bring sleeping bags as my linen supply is short. i'm trying to come up with as many air mattresses as possible - if you have one bring it.
secure parking for scoots - garage, bench and tools for repairs, rocket as mechanic, bbq, and small hot tub
there you have it
email is mark_AT_jet200.com if you are looking for space

DD - I am coming down on the Thursday now. So I will ride with you guys. I had better make reservations and buy a rally pack. We are moving around that time, but I have been green lighted to go. Yay.

The upside of riding on Thursday is that you won't miss a thing as registration starts at 6:00 p.m. in Pioneer Square.

I suspect if we don't dawdle, we can likely make it for Thursday at 10am. I'll call Noel tonight and we'll try to flesh the Calgary contingent's plans out a bit further. Will report back.

O.K. I have a pdf of the draft route from the border (with maps), for those who want it. Email me at ddaniels_vcoc AT hotmail etc... It's a good idea to have a copy in case you get (or want to get) separated from the group.
I rode the route to the border last weekend. It's o.k.. Hwy 10 is all construction, so if you were thinking 10 to HW 15 that route is toast. Although 15 from Langlely is clear sailing, for the Langliers who may wish to meet up at the border.
I would suggest as a meet up point down there the PetroCanada at the corner of King George Hwy and 152nd. Time: TBD
